Coloring Faye- a Watch it Wednesday for Waffle Flower Crafts

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying your week!  I am currently in day 5 of our snow vacation lol!  We got a crazy amount of snow over the weekend- 26 inches all together, which is the most we've had here since moving to the area 10 years ago.   The girls won't be going back to school until next Tuesday!  My hubby and I are back at it today though- him to work and me to school.  I have enjoyed the time at home though.  I crafted- scrapbooked, made cards, cross stitched, and crocheted all weekend.  And I painted my kitchen!  It is looking beautiful now!

One of the cards I made was this cutie for Waffle Flower Crafts:

I used the mini Faye Stamp Set to make this card.  I stamped her out onto the diecut square from the Doily Square Die Set and colored her with Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol.  I love how she turned out :)  The bit of paper is from Bella Blvd. and the sequins are from Neat and Tangled.  Here is a closer look:

If you are interested, I created a video for the Waffle Flower blog with this card as well.  Pop over to today's post to see it!

Thank you for popping by today!  I hope you are all enjoying your week!

Waffle Flower's January Challenge

Hi!  Happy Monday!  I am using this extra day off to play catch up :)  The last few weeks have been a whirlwind!  CHA was busy and fun!  It was so nice to meet people I chat with online in real life.  I recognized almost everyone lol!  After CHA I came back to a full schedule of classes to start- I already have homework!  I think my classes will be pretty fun this semester though!  I also had to have a crafty day pronto thanks to all the inspiration the last week brought.  And of course hang out with the family- the long weekend was perfect for that!

Today I also have a card I made for the current Waffle Flower Challenge:

This month's challenge is stenciling.  I created a stencil using the Tribal Pattern Die.  I diecut it out and sponged ink from the Hero Arts purple ombre ink pad over it.  I also used the Tribal Bear Stamp Set and Die for the stamped sentiment and smaller tribal pattern panel.  The Amazing Word Die Cut is a sneak from the upcoming release!  I can't wait to use more of the awesome new word dies- they will be available in February!

There are still a few days to play along with us at the Waffle Flower Challenge!  Pop over to the blog for more details!

Grateful For You Card

Hi!

I have been on a Thank You card making kick lately and it's been fun!  I saved one to photograph for my blog before handing them out today :)  Here it is:

So, I used goodies from my stash for this one!  Everything is older except for the new embossing folder- I love these wide stripes!  It's from Heidi Swapp.  The label die is also newer- from the fall anyhow- and by Lawn Fawn.  I used the pretty Blossoming Buds stamp set from Paper Smooches to and stamped the flowers onto a tag cut out of watercolor paper.  I painted them in with my ink pads.  The papers are from an older October Afternoon 8x8 pad called Woodland Park- I still love these designs!

I hope you had a great holiday season!  My girls are excited to be getting back to school tomorrow.  I start next week- after CHA!!  I'll be working with Nina and a few other DT girls in the Waffle Flower Booth!  If you're heading there be sure to stop by and say hi! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
