Everyday Girl Layout

Hello!  I always wish I had more time to scrapbook.  This month for my DT assignments, I mixed in a few layouts!  Here is one I created for the SRM Stickers Blog today:

These photos of my daughter Natalie were taken a few years ago but they show so much of who she is.  I love them!  She is an easy going, happy girl who is up for just about anything!  She loves to be outside and she loves all things pink! :)

I chose the Express Yourself - Everyday Girl Sticker Sheet to work with since the story I want to tell is about Natalie's everyday attitude.  I also pulled out a Sticker Stitches- Black Sticker Sheet and Solid Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine to use as accents.  The papers are from Bella Blvd and my layout inspiration came from Sketch 440 by Scrapbook Challenges.

Thanks for reading today!

You're A Gem Card

Hello!  How's your week going so far?  We are enjoying our first week of summer!  We have been keeping very busy!  I'm glad I had a minute to pop on this morning to share this card I made for Waffle Flower Crafts:

I used the Gemstone Stamp Set with some pretty new ink colors from the Winter Blend Ink Pad.  I stamped the gemstones on a diagonal using different colors as I worked my way up.  Once they were stamped out, I sprinkled some like-colored sequins into the same space and adhered them down.  I diecut a large circle from the Flower Circle Die Set and stamped the sentiment in black.  I figured out where I wanted to place it and then wadded up some white thread to put underneath it.  I adhered it all with foam adhesive for dimension.

To add even more dimension to this fun card, I added a diamond cut out of shiny silver cardstock with the 3-D Diamond Template Die.  I folded it up and adhered it together and then added it to my circle.  It's so pretty and shiny!  I added just a few more sequins to offset my sentiment.

I love the new ink colors from the Winter Blend Stamp Set!  They are so bold and pretty!  I can't wait to use them again!

Alright!  Now comes the rest of my day! :)  We are heading into DC to have lunch and walk through the National Art Museum.  After that we're going to our first Nationals game- it should be a fun day!

Thanks for stopping by here today!

Make a Wish Card for SRM

Hi!  I'm sharing a card on the SRM Stickers Blog today!  It's a birthday card for one of my girlfriends:

I think I have all my favorite things on this card!  A little stamping, an adorable 4" White Lace Doily, sequins, a Glassine Bag, and a We've Got Your Sticker- Birthday Sticker Sheet which has sentiments, images, and sticker stitches all in one!
I started with a pink card base and stamped some random pink dots diagonally across the card front.  I added a strip of pink patterned paper to the top and then filled a glassine bag with a gift card to my friend's favorite place- Starbucks!
I adhered the bag to the card front and then added a folded 4" White Lace Doily over the top.  I folded the bag's flap down and added a sticker stitch from the We've Got You're Sticker- Birthday Sticker Sheet along the edge.  I added the cupcake sticker to a Medium White Scallop Punch Piece and then added it to my card front with some foam adhesive tape.  I added the sentiment to the bottom of the glassine bag.  The sequins were a finishing touch- playing on the circle theme and adding a little sparkle!

This one was so fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

An Otterly Birthday Card

Hi!
Today I'm working on a few fun projects involving some cute new stamps I got over the weekend!  New goodies are always fun, aren't they? :)  I love it when something sparks my creativity!  Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the current Lawnscaping Challenge:

One of my favorite things about Lawn Fawn is all the cute critter stamps!  I can't get enough of them!  I am so happy I had time to play along with the challenge.  Here is what I made:

I have loved otters since living in Monterey, California.  Have you ever been there?  I would spot otters swimming around in the bay on my walks home from work- they are sooo cute!  One of many things I miss about living in Monterey :)

I colored this guy from the Year Five Stamp Set with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities and cut him out.  I made cut some Lawn Fawn patterned papers into waves and then cut them into an oval shape.  I added the bits and pieces to the oval base with foam adhesive to add some dimension.

I wanted a carefree fun feeling to this card so I splattered my white card base and added some random waves stamped behind where the oval would go.  I added a wad of thread and then placed my focal point over it.  I sprinkled some sequins over the card and glued them down where they landed. :)

This little cutie sure makes me smile!  Hope you're having a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Coffee Lovers LOVE Gift Cards featuring SRM Stickers

Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the Summer Coffee Lover's Bloghop.  My card is also on the SRM Blog- they are one of the Super Sponsors this time around and have been giving away some awesome goodies!  Be sure to pop over to the SRM Blog and leave a comment for your chance to win!

I am always inspired when I see the cute gift cards at stores- especially Starbucks!  Why put them inside the card when you can use them on the front?  They make the perfect focal point:

I layered some gold polka-dot vellum onto a kraft card base and then lightly adhered the gift card over the center.  I added a striped strip of patterned paper just below the edge and then had fun with some Black Sticker Stitches!  I added them underneath the gift card but in places it is clear so you can see through it below.
I added the sentiment sticker from the Sentiments/Congratulations Sheet.  Then I embellished with a few sequins and some Solid Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine.

What coffee lover wouldn't love a card like this? :)  It comes with free coffee!  lol!  Have fun popping through all of the other awesome cards along the hop and thanks for stopping by here, too!

Clique Kits & Friends June Blog Hop

Hi!  Aren't you happy it's Friday?  This week went by so fast!  We are looking forward to softball and the school carnival this weekend- I can't wait!

Today I'm hopping along with Clique Kits as part of their Clique Kits & Friends June Blog Hop.  Nina at Waffle Flower Crafts got me the hook up with this one and I'm so excited about it!  Clique Kits sent me the prettiest kit to use:

I really love it and already have plans for more fun projects!  Here is what I made for today- a couple of cards incorporating my favorite things from the Clique Kit and Waffle Flower Crafts:

The color scheme is so peaceful and pretty, isn't it?  I love the hints of pink and gold sprinkled throughout everything!
Here is a closer look at the cards:

I incorporated that great feather diecut from the June Kit and the Doily Circle Die on this one.  They work so well together!  I added a bit more gold as well so it really catches the eye in person.  The pretty sentiment is from the Flower Circle Stamp Set.

Isn't that flair cool?  I love it too!  :)  Here is my second card:

You can see I used more fun things from the June Kit along with the Riverside Stamp Set for this one.  I stamped a little scene on some natural white cardstock using the stamp set as my focal point.  The bits and pieces from the kit are the perfect accent.

A bunch of creative ladies are hopping along with me today- be sure to check everyone's projects out!

Tessa Wise (me)

Thank you for stopping by today!  Thanks to Clique Kits and Waffle Flower for letting me play along with you all! :)
