A Couple of Scrapbook Pages...

I've been in the mood to scrapbook the past few days and I have a couple of pages to share! Here is the first one from my birthday last year:

Goodies:

Cardstock by Bazzill; Patterned paper by Jenni Bowlin and Cosmo Cricket; Bingo Card by Jenni Bowlin; Die cuts by Quickutz; Letter stickers by American Crafts and Doodlebug Designs; ribbon by Offray

I had a lot of pictures to scrap from one of my favorite birthdays! The kids were so cute at the donut shop! We go there every year...

Here is the next one of my daughter Zoey:

Goodies:

Cardstock by Bazzill and Stampin' Up!; patterned paper by Chatterbox and My Minds Eye; Rubons by Daisy D's for Recollections (both went out of business...); diecuts by Quickutz (lipstick) and Cricut (letters)

Zoey got makeup for Christmas last year from her uncle and aunt... thanks again guys!

Anyways, I'll keep this short... it is such a nice day out, I just don't feel like typing!!

Oh! I almost forgot my good news! I was picked as a top 20 finalist over at Paper Crafts Connection for their Gallery Idol contest!!! How could I forget, right? I guess I'm just a little nervous to be going up against some great paper crafters!! Pretty exciting though! Hee!

Clean and Simple Cards

Hi! I have two cards to share today because I kept my style clean and simple! I picked my color scheme first... Bermuda Bay, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, and Barely Banana. Very bright and pretty! Here is what I came up with...

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: The More the Merrier hostess set
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Cameo Coral, Barely Banana, Going Gray classic inks; Jet Black StazOn
Paper: Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Barely Banana, Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery cardstock
Accessories: paper piercer, White Signo gel pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Certainly Celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Clips Assortment, Aqua Painter

I figured I'd add a sentiment to the inside when I'm ready to use it... I watercolored the birds in that pretty new color, Bermuda Bay! Once they were done, I added some Cameo Coral to the hearts and also added glitter to each one with my Crystal Effects. Next, I had to decorate the card base... since I wanted to incorporate all these colors, I thought it would be simplest just to cut strips! I added a little faux stitching to the top and bottom of each panel, and along the bottom of the birdy strip. I added the cute little clip and ribbon and adhered everything to the cardbase... pretty simple I think!

Since I still had everything out, I decided to make another card using this color scheme... here it is:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Circle Circus set, Hope Happens set
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral Classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Bermuda Bay cardstock
Accessories: So Saffron wide grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals

For this card, I stamped random circles from Circle Circus onto Whisper White cardstock. I matted it out and added a little ribbon to the side. I stamped and matted my sentiment and then stuck everything down to the card base! It was one of the easiest cards I've ever made and I still like how it came out!

Well, I hope you all enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping in!

A KWerner Color Challenge...

When I saw the latest Color Inspiration Challenge on Kristina Werner's blog this week, I couldn't help but play along! The colors were so rich and gorgeous! Here is what she challenged us with:

And here is what I made:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Always set
Ink: More Mustard, Really Rust, Going Gray, Basic Gray Classic inks; Versamark
Paper: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Really Rust cardstock; Autumn Vine DSP
Accessories: Clear embossing powder, Very Vanilla wide grosgrain ribbon, Stamping Sponges, paper piercer, White Signo Gel pen, Scallop Edge punch, Dimensionals

I decided to go with an old, favorite stamp set, Always... I haven't used it in so long! It was one of my very first Stampin' Up! purchases and definitely worth every penny! Don't you love sets like that!

I also used my favorite technique, emboss resist with the heart... I layered it to incorporate more colors to the design and added a Very Vanilla mat to really make it pop off the background. I wanted to keep it simple so I tried not to go overboard on all the little things... sometimes I have a habit of that! Hee!

Thanks for taking a peek today! I am thinking of taking my girls to explore a new park... it is too perfect outside to stay inside!

Bashful Bird Card

I've been playing around with my new stamps again! I think this little chubby bird is just too cute!

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Ink: Bashful Blue, Dusty Durango, Chocolate Chip classic inks
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Dusty Durango, Kraft, Confetti White cardstock; Maine Blueberry DSP
Accessories: Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon, halfback pearls from Pretties Kit, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Scallop Edge punch, Top Note Die

I am already loving this color combo... I can picture lots of pretty fall cards done in these colors! Sorry, my mind isn't all here today... whiny kids are getting the best of me but I still wanted to post! I'll just keep it short!

Pretty card for a friend...

Today, I found some time to play along with Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge! I dug out one of my favorite retired colors... Wild Wasabi! Don't you wish some of those oldies would make a comeback? I am hoping for that someday... Anyways, here is what Dawn challenged us with this time:

And, here is what I made!

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Friends 24-7 set, En Francais background
Ink: Basic Black, Green Galore, Glorious Green (I had to mix them to look like Wild Wasabi which I don't have...), Barely Banana Classic inks; Versamark
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla, Basic Black cardstock; Candy Lane DSP
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Aqua Painter, Ice Circle Rhinestone brads, Valet ribbon originals, Scallop Edge punch, Dimensionals

I wasn't sure what to do with the colors in this challenge so I pulled out one of my favorite sets, played around for a few minutes and came up with this! It was a fun challenge, and since I really didn't have the matching ink, it was fun coming up with a solution to my problem!

Anyways, I'm keeping it short tonight... we got Twilight in the mail from Netflix today and I'm excited to watch it! I am currently reading the second book in the series and I think I'm hooked! I hope the movie does it justice.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Kristen's Birthday Gift

Good morning!

Today I am sharing a little gift I made for my friend Kristen. Her birthday was last month and of course, I was fashionably late giving it to her... Here is what I made:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up! (except the frame)

Stamps: Season of Friendship set
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Rose Red, So Saffron, Old Olive classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip cardstock; Maine Blueberry DSP
Accessories: Hemp twine, rubons from last year's Sale-a-bration, dimesnionals; frame from Walmart

Pretty easy gift giving idea really. It is like a card, times three and framed! It was a lot of fun creating it special for my friend... I found the frame at Walmart, chose my colors, and stamped! Hee!

I also made her a card using a paper weaving technique I found in this month's Stampin' Success (SU! demo magazine). Here it is:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes set, A Little Birthday Cheer set
Ink: So Saffron, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Pink Pirouette classic inks; Jet Black Stazon
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Regal Rose, Whisper White cardstock; Sweet Always DSP
Accessories: So Saffron wide grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Dimensionals, Aqua Painter, Stamping Sponges

The paper weave was pretty easy, too. I'm glad I tried it!

Today I think I'll have some time to stamp so hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some fun new projects to share!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

They were MFEO...

Petal Pizazz and Circle Circus that is! Made Fore Each Other... Hee! I paired these two up on my card today:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Circle Circus set, Petal Pizzaz set, A Little Birthday Cheer set, Wings of Friendship set
Ink: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose classic inks
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Regal Rose cardstock; Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Stamping Sponges, Melon Mambo 1/2" polkadot grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge punch, Paper Piercer, White Signo gel pen, Dimensionals

I'm not sure of the layout of this design... it feels a little off, but it could be because of all the different things going on! I am having fun playing with all the new colors and some are growing on me more then others... I have yet to use Dusty Durango so that is on my list for the next card I make!

Keeping it short today since my girls are being extra ornery! Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Crazy Cupcakes Card

I've been enjoying playing with my new goodies!! For this card, I paired a set that came out last year, Crazy For Cupcakes, with a new set- The More the Merrier! I saw so many possibilities for The More the Merrier set... It is a level 3 Hostess set and has stamps in there for every occasion! Here is my crazy cupcake card:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: The More the Merrier set; Crazy For Cupcakes set
Ink: Jet Black StazOn; Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red, Soft Suede classic inks
Paper: Soft Suede, Confetti White, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay cardstock; Certainly Celery textured cardstock
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Dazzling Diamonds, White Signo Gel pen, So Saffron 1/25" Striped grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals

I stamped my background with the new cupcakes stamp from the More the Merrier set. I watercolored them with all the fun colors and added it to my Soft Suede card base. Next I paper pieced the larger cupcakes from Crazy for Cupcakes and sponged around them in the ink of the same colors. I added sprinkles with the Signo and then colored over some of them in colored ink. I added the cardstock strip across the bottom and the ribbon, adhered the cupcakes and added a sentiment. I love the bright colors and the look of the watercoloring!

Thanks for looking today!!

A Simple Circle Circus Card

I saw the Circle Circus set in the new Australian Catalog a few months ago and was hoping that it would make it to ours! You know how excited I was that it did, and that it was one of our preorder items!! Yahoo! Today I'm posting my first card using it... I kept it simple, using my punches and the circles for design. Here it is:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Circle Circus set; A Little Birthday Cheer set
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, Basic Gray classic inks
Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White cardstock; Certainly Celery, Basic Gray textured cardstock
Accessories: Circle punches (various sizes), Filigree Brads, Ice Circle Rhinestone Brads, Dimensionals

The color scheme came from a page in the new catalog. It looked so fresh and pretty on the pages, I was inspired to use it! I am loving the new set, and the new Bermuda Bay color!!

Thanks for looking today! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!

It's like seeing an old friend...

Season of Friendship was my favorite stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog last year. I was so happy to see that it had made the new catalog!! It really was like seeing an old friend! I used it this morning to make a card with the new in colors and Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. Here it is:

Goodies:
All Products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Season of Friendship set, A Happy Heart set
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Soft Suede classic inks
Paper: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo cardstock; Rich Razzleberry textured cardstock; Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Melon Mambo 1/2" Polka-Dot grosgrain ribbon, Dimensionals, Scallop Edge punch, Dazzling Diamonds

I stamped the tree first and then added the flowers in different shades from the DSP. I added Dazzling Diamonds using Crystal Effects so it gave a little dimension to the flower centers.

Don't you just love this new DSP! I am really liking the summer feeling it gives off. And, I love how it looks with my tree! Hee!

Hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks! Thanks for stopping by!

Who wants to see new goodies!!

My trusty UPS driver dropped off my sneak peek goodies early this afternoon!! I quickly thumbed through the new catty (love sooo much out of it!) and got to work playing with a new stamp set and the new papers I ordered!! Here is what I made:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Wings of Friendship (new Hostess L2 set)
Ink: Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie classic inks
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry cardstock
Accessories: Melon Mambo 1/2 inch polka-dot grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge punch, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals

The hostess sets this year are right up my alley! It was so hard to choose one in each level to purchase... I'm excited to try more with this little guy!

Here is the next card I made:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Simple Friendship set, Warm Words set
Ink: Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Barely Banana, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip classic inks
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White cardstock; Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Paper Piercer, White Signo Gel pen

This is one of those cards that just the middle part opens- so the white part with ruffles and butterflies... I love the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP! The colors are bright and pretty and I have a feeling, I'll be using it a lot!!

OK! There is a little sneak peek of the new goodies!

A Citrus Challenge...

So, last week the Moxie Fab World blog posted a challenge to use this picture from Pottery Barn as inspiration to make a card:

I decided to participate and here is what I came up with:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Upsy Daisy set; Simple Friendship set
Ink: Barely Banana, So Saffron, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Certainly Celery, Old Olive classic inks; Versamark
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White cardstock; Glossy White cardstock, Bella Rose DSP
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Scallop Edge punch, So Saffron wide grosgrain ribbon, Clear embossing powder, Stamping Sponges, Dimensionals

Well, after I was all done yesterday, I took some pictures of the card and none of them turned out... I had to wait for this morning to retake them and what do you know, I missed the deadline for the contest! Oh well!

For the background layer, I stamped the flowers onto glossy cardstock using Versamark. Then I heat embossed them using clear embossing powder. next, I started with my yellows and sponged the ink onto the glossy cardstock. I worked my way down into the greens, covering the entire stamped image. The ink doesn't stick to the embossing powder and really lets the silhouettes stand out! Next, I ruffled my Kiwi Kiss DSP and stuck it to the scalloped edge piece. I stuck this to the background piece and added the ribbon then I stuck it all to a Kraft card base. After I thought I was done, I decided to add a butterfly to the corner. Really, it was because I made a stupid mistake of putting my thumb in green ink and leaving a print on the yellow part of the piece! Hee! Gotta cover those mistakes!

Anyways, I am so in the mood to craft today! I am expecting UPS any minute with my new Stampin' Up! goodies!! I can't wait to see the new incolors in real life!! I have a feeling I'll have a lot to share if I find time to play!!

Thanks for popping by today!
